Job description: Quality Assurance EngineerNorthwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the FinTech industry to hire an experienced full-time Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client’s cutting-edge mortgage and consumer loan servicing software products. You will work in a fast-paced QA environment, contributing to the next-generation lending experience through rigorous testing, collaboration, and innovation.What YOU will do:

  • Collaborate with development, product management, and delivery teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Work as an individual contributor on QA teams, supporting project and product release efforts.
  • Identify test scenarios based on defect tracking tools and project design documents.
  • Participate in all phases of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Maintain API collections, execute API tests using POSTMAN, and contribute to the long-term vision for improved quality assurance.
  • Document and communicate test results clearly and in detail.
  • Report, triage, and resolve defects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases and regression test suites.
  • Raise quality and schedule risks to management proactively.
  • Work closely with offshore teams to ensure day-to-day work transitions effectively.
  • Adhere to CMMI standards for quality and process improvement.
  • Provide creative problem-solving and support for challenging business issues.

What YOU will bring us:

  • 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in API testing with an expert-level understanding of API and integration design patterns and best practices.
  • Proficiency in RESTful web services and strong knowledge of QA engineering best practices.
  • Solid experience in test processes: requirement analysis, test scenario design, scripting, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio Test Professional, Azure DevOps, Postman, Microsoft Test Manager, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and SharePoint.
  • Mortgage or consumer loan servicing knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong team player who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles and CMMI standards.
